Community Partners

What is our Community Partners program?

Our Community Partners program is part of the Arts Access Initiative. The program serves our mission and community by building relationships and connections throughout Delmarva through partnerships with fellow nonprofit organizations that serve our communities. We work together to offer folks new opportunities to experience unique arts programming at no cost, both onsite and throughout the community.

Our partners include child-care and after-school clubs, youth programs, transitional living programs, organizations that provide hospital and respite housing, community action/empowerment networks, veterans organizations, and faith-based organizations and programs.

Program Vision

To collaborate with community-based organizations to co-create and expand access to meaningful arts experiences, empowering partners to bring creativity, joy, and belonging to the communities they serve.

Throughout the year, we work with our partners to broaden arts access by presenting programs where children, families, and the communities of which they are a part gather and provide opportunities to experience live arts together. During the summer season, we host partner organizations and the people they serve for performances at our venue.

We support and engage our partners with service to organizations and constituencies alike. In the Community

We bring the arts directly to our community partners, ensuring that all have the opportunity to attend live performances and enriching arts experiences in locations closer to home. In familiar, local settings. Whether through artist visits, interactive workshops, or collaborative events at partner locations, we extend our presence beyond the stage, fostering deeper connections and supporting our partners where they are, in our greater community.

At Freeman Arts Pavilion

We invite our Community Partners to enjoy live performances at Freeman Arts Pavilion Through complimentary tickets, transportation support, and tailored arts experiences, we ensure that groups of all ages can engage with live performances in a vibrant and inspiring setting while removing financial burdens and making the arts more accessible.

We welcome our Community Partners to enjoy live performances at Freeman Arts Pavilion by offering complimentary tickets, transportation assistance, and customized arts experiences. We aim to create opportunities for individuals of all ages to engage with the arts in a lively and welcoming environment, while helping to reduce cost-related obstacles.

Art Kits at local laundromats Art Kits at local laundromats SPLASH! Laundromats in Georgetown and Milford have children’s libraries that turn laundry time into learning. In support of this initiative, we supply art kits, which include all materials and instructions, encouraging creativity and hands-on learning.
Morgan's Message Morgan's Message In partnership with Stephen Decatur High School and Morgan’s Message, we supported a student-led public art project promoting creativity and mental wellness through a student-inspired mural by We Are Limitless Studios.
Hip Hop Fundamentals Camp Hip Hop Fundamentals Camp Hip Hop Fundamentals is an award-winning team of diverse professional Breakdancers dedicated to Hip Hop education. They have partnered with us to create a weeklong summer camp opportunity for a local Boys & Girls Club.
Performances at local events Performances at local events Locals Under the Lights Latino brings Freeman Arts Pavilion’s signature series to Festival Hispano de Georgetown, celebrating Latino musicians from across Delmarva and the power of multicultural community.
Community art project at local event Community art project at local event We joined a Laurel Public Library block party, sharing our season and hosting a Wishing Wall art installation. Over 100 community members wrote wishes for Laurel — many focused on peace and safety — and the installation continues to grow at the library.
