Join local dance instructor Renee Wight for a fun and accessible series of dance workshops! Across four lively classes, Renee will introduce participants to the basics of tap, jazz, and line dancing, offering a welcoming space to move, learn, and enjoy.
This tap class will emphasize sounds through rhythmic percussive steps. Participants will learn the basic tap steps incorporating both rhythmic "hoofer" style and Broadway style tap dancing. In addition to the physical benefits, tap dancing is also a great workout for the brain.
Participants should wear comfortable clothing to allow movement, tap shoes preferred, and/or hard sole shoes, water bottle to stay hydrated. Whether you’re brand-new to dance or looking to refresh your skills, no experience is necessary. Each class is designed to be beginner-friendly, energetic, and supportive. Attend one session as a drop-in or join us for all four! Come dance, learn, and connect with your community — one step at a time!
